Urbandev is administered by Chris Barnes, a well-respected property development and construction professional with over 20 years experience in the industry. Chris works across all urban environments such as, public infrastructure, education, commercial-retail, industrial, residential and management property sectors, built form and civil.
Chris has managed and overseen a variety of development/ construction companies, and has successfully managed over $3.5 billion worth of large-scale quality development and infrastructure projects accross SEQ. He has a proven track record of developing and delivering business objectives. Chris continually motivates and coaches his teams to achieve target programmes and profits by realising out of reach financial strategic opportunities for the relevant business, boards or organisations.

- Extensive senior management experience managing business stakeholders, boards, shareholders’ interests and resources, via all end to end business functions within the property development, construction and asset industry. - Reliable and collaborative relationships throughout the development and construction sectors across most States. Specifically Queensland, Local, State and Commonwealth Government, ministers, their department heads and staff.
- Strong public relation and negotiation skills, to seek out and resolve business development, project development and social opportunities.
- High level development-construction-asset management and technical knowledge across all residential, commercial, industrial built form, retail and related civil- public infrastructure property fields.
- Ability to develop a product to suit the market needs for all residential, commercial, civil infrastructure and built-form requirements, ranging from affordable to high-end developments/projects whilst achieving sales targets and project goals.
- Strong leadership with an authentic, genuine, credible, honest, accountable and collaborative attitude, with high levels of self-awareness and integrity.
- Ability to identify and deliver high-quality, cost-effective products for the end user and target markets.
- High level of design management ability regarding technical, build time verses cost efficiency without compromising the quality, livability, aesthetics, green credentials or energy efficiency of the product.
